Overview

At Print and Paint Scenery, we want every purchase to be one you’re happy with. This policy explains your rights and our process for returns, refunds, and exchanges. Our policy is designed to comply fully with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the obligations set out by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

Important: Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Your statutory rights apply regardless of any store policy.

 

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Under the ACL, all products we sell come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a remedy if a product:

  • Is not of acceptable quality (faulty, damaged, unsafe, or not durable)
  • Does not match its description or any sample shown
  • Is not fit for its stated purpose
  • Does not meet any express warranty we have made

If a product has a major failure, you may choose between:

  • A full refund
  • A replacement of the same type

If a product has a minor failure, we may repair, replace, or refund at our discretion.

Where a fault requires the product to be returned to us, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs for faulty goods. We will also refund any original delivery charge paid where a full refund is issued for a faulty item.

 

Returns by Product Type

3D Printed Terrain & Miniatures (Custom Print-on-Demand)

Our 3D printed terrain pieces and miniatures are produced individually to order using professional resin and filament printing equipment. Because these items are made specifically for you, we do not accept change-of-mind returns on custom printed products.

We do accept returns or offer remedies for 3D printed items that:

  • Arrive with significant print failures, layer delamination, or structural defects
  • Are materially different from the product description or images shown on our website
  • Are damaged in transit

To request a remedy for a faulty 3D printed item, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order and include:

  • Your order number
  • A clear description of the fault
  • Photos clearly showing the issue

Please note: Minor surface imperfections, slight support marks, or minor layer lines are inherent characteristics of 3D printing and are not considered faults. We take great care to ensure all prints meet our quality standards before dispatch.

 

Hobby Materials (Paints, Brushes, Adhesives & Supplies)

In-stock hobby materials — including Vallejo and Army Painter paints, brushes, basing materials, adhesives, and other hobby supplies — are eligible for return or exchange if:

  • The item arrives faulty, damaged, or leaking
  • The wrong item was sent
  • The item is significantly not as described

We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery for faulty or incorrectly supplied hobby materials. Items must be in their original condition and packaging. Please contact us before sending anything back so we can arrange the return process.

Change-of-mind returns on hobby materials may be accepted at our discretion within 14 days of delivery, provided items are unused, unopened, and in original packaging. Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are at the buyer’s expense.

 

Tabletop Gaming Books, RPG Sourcebooks & Boxed Games

Books, RPG sourcebooks, and boxed tabletop games (including Dungeons & Dragons products, Dragonbane, The One Ring, and similar) are eligible for return if they arrive damaged, defective, or significantly not as described.

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted on books or boxed games that have been opened, as the contents cannot be verified as unused once the packaging seal is broken.

Unopened books and games may be returned within 14 days of delivery at the buyer’s expense, provided they are in original condition with all packaging intact.

 

Gaming Club Memberships & Event Tickets

Gaming club memberships and event or campaign tickets are non-refundable once a season or campaign has commenced, except where an event is cancelled by Print and Paint Scenery. If we cancel an event, a full refund will be issued to all ticket holders.

If you are unable to attend an event you have booked, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to transfer your booking to a future session where capacity allows.

 

How to Request a Return or Refund

To begin a return or refund request, please follow these steps:

  • Contact us by email at info@printandpaintscenery.com.au within the applicable timeframe
  • Include your order number, the item(s) affected, and a description of the issue
  • Attach clear photos where the issue is physical (damage, print fault, wrong item)
  • We will respond within 2 business days with instructions on how to proceed
  • Do not return items without first receiving authorisation from us — unauthorised returns may not be processed

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.

 

What Is Not Covered

The following are not covered under this returns policy:

  • Change-of-mind on custom 3D printed items
  • Damage caused by the customer after delivery (e.g. breakage during painting or assembly)
  • Minor cosmetic imperfections inherent to the 3D printing process
  • Items returned without prior authorisation
  • Opened books or boxed games returned for change of mind
  • Consumables (paints, inks, adhesives) that have been opened and partially used

This section does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty, you retain all statutory rights regardless of the above.
